Our History & Memorable Moments

Nigerians in diaspora organization (NIDO) was established to create a vibrant diaspora community as well as harness the tremendous skill, exposure, expertise and knowledge base of Nigerian professionals in the diaspora, it was the aim of the federal government of Nigeria that the diaspora would play a more constructive role in the nation’s development as well as promoting exchange of culture with the host countries. NIDO China was formed in 2018 after extensive discussion among all stakeholders including members of the community, members of the diplomatic mission in China. The federal government of Nigeria as well as NIDO Asia , NIDO Europe, NIDO America and NIDO Africa. The main aim and vision are to develop the community, provide platform for national development, identifying individuals with skills and capacity as well as the willingness to contribute to the building of our Nation Nigeria

On the 27th of April 2018, we held our first Diaspora day event which also marked the official inauguration of the National executive in Beijing, China.

E-Library & Social Network

On 25th of April 2020, we launched our E-Library platform and Social networking projects by NiDO China.

Evacuation of Nigerians

On 29th January, 2020 Nigerians in Diaspora Organization China (NiDO China) facilitated the request for quick evacuation of Nigerians in Wuhan addressed to the Nigerian Ambassador to China, Ambassador Baba Ahmad Jidda which also copied the Chairman, Nigerian in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Erewa Dabiri.

F.G. Intervention

0n 24th February 2020 the Federal government of Nigeria provided financial support of the sum of 235,000 RMB to Nigerians in Wuhan who are at the epicenter of the outbreak and its environs which will be disbursed by the embassy through the leadership of the Nigerian Students in Wuhan.

On 4th April 2020, we donated thousands of bottles of branded NiDO China hand sanitizers to the Lagos state hospital through NiDCOM.
